General Information
Our mascot is the lion. The lion's name is LEO . A school-wide contest was held to come up with a name for our mascot that had an academic and character meaning. In 1996, Jimmy and April Hilmer created the winning name, L earning E quals O pportunity. If we learn about academics and character and do our best, we will have many opportunities in our lives for success.
L earning E quals O pportunity This is the six-foot wooden LEO that stands in our lobby to greet students each morning. The lion was designed and painted by Robin Strayer, who is a parent, of one of our students. The wooden lion was completed in 1997. Our school moto is: The 3R's - RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY AND THE RIGHT TO LEARN This is the basis of our character education program .
